Listen

Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of driving in a car, listening to music on the tape deck, windows down and a smile on my face.

I spent years with my discman, carting my cds from place to place in an old Army/Navy surplus bag, AA batteries thrown in the bottom. When I finally caved to the world of the iPod, I had to charge mine daily to keep up with the hours I spent, walking to class, driving to shows, drowning out the world around me.

My iTunes has more music than I could listen to in a week, I live with CD cases spilling out of drawers and lined up alphabetically on shelves. I have pairs of headphones I switch to every bag, feeling lost and panicky if I’ve forgotten to bring them along.

I’ve seen over 100 different bands at over 350 different shows, driving from city to city, state to state, up and down the the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic coast.

Stay tuned for a list of my must listens, old favorites, and new found sounds.
